HillJillys MTB Ride:
Boggs! Saturday, March 20th, 10:00am

In preparation for Boggs V the first weekend of April, Cheryl is leading a HillJillys preride up at Cobb Mountain this weekend. If you've never tasted the sweet singletrack that crisscrosses the Boggs State Demonstration Forest, you're in for a real treat.

Carpooling is in order for this lil' adventure, so RSVPs are a good idea for putting together rideshares. The group will meet in the first Boggs parking area on Saturday, March 20th, for a 10am ride start (and carpools will prolly meet around 8:30am in the Sonoma County environs). While all HillJillys rides are no-drop and Boggs is pretty gentle for the newbies, the pace and amount of singletrack will make this one an intermediate level ride. Be sure you're comfortable on the sweet & narrow and have at least a wee bit of fitness under your belt. And Boggs is a fair bit higher up, so be prepared for cooler temperatures.

HillJillys Road Ride:
Saturday, March 13th, 9:30am

Spring is in the air, fo' sho'! Our bucolic backroads are calling, as is our fave bakery stop in Freestone. Pull out the skinny tires for a lil' west county road excursion.

Meet at the Wild Flour Bakery in Freestone on Saturday, March 13th, at 9:30am. (Come early with some cash for one of their tasty scones.) Kate will lead us out towards Occidental, Graton, and then back via Harrison Grade. The goal is fun, not speed--but be prepared for a steep climb up Harrison Grade. RSVPs appreciated.

These are no-drop rides: beginner-friendly, everyone welcome, and no one left behind! (Rain cancels.)

HillJillys MTB Ride:
Saturday, March 6th, 9:30am

Currently, the forecast is calling for showers on Saturday, but in the spirit of optimism, we're gonna plan for a mountain bike ride and hope the sun peeks through for us.

Twyla will lead this week's trail adventure in Annadel--meet on Saturday at 9:30am on Channel Drive at the bottom of Cobblestone. RSVPs appreciated! The know-how to go now: beginner-friendly, everyone welcome, and no one left behind. Rain cancels!

HillJillys Road Ride:
Saturday, February 27th, 9:30am

The weather is pretty topsy-turvy this week: patches of blue sky and bright sun quickly alternating with heavy rain. Fingers crossed that we get the former on Saturday for our HillJillys road excursion.

Kara will lead out a relatively flat road loop from the Flying Goat in Santa Rosa. It'll head up to Windsor via Fulton, Olivet, and Mark West and come out to about 30 miles. RSVPs appreciated.

As usual, beginner-friendly, everyone welcome, and no one left behind... and rain cancels!

HillJillys MTB Ride:
Saturday, February 20th, 9:30am

Trying again, even though the weather forecast is looking dodgy... but, oh my, would it ever be nice to get back out on our mountain bikes.

So, here we go: meet in Annadel on Channel Drive at the bottom of Cobblestone on Saturday, 9:30am. Twyla's been scouting the park and will avoid the muddiest of the trails. RSVPs appreciated.

The know-how to go now: beginner-friendly, everyone welcome, and no one left behind. Rain cancels!

HillJillys Road Ride:
Saturday, February 13th, 9:30am

The HillJillys brave the winter roads yet again... Kristy will lead us out on a Chalk Hill loop, and we'll soak in the first signs of spring: the mustard is blooming in the vineyards!

Meet at Esposti Park at Old Redwood Hwy & Shiloh, 9:30am on Saturday. RSVPs appreciated. 'Tis a no-drop ride: all are welcome, and no one left behind!

For those who might be interested in coming out to the last Bike Monkey cyclocross race of the season (also on Saturday), there's a special treat: women race free! Check it out.

HillJillys MTB Ride:
Saturday, February 6th, 9:30am

We're super stoked to get back out on our mountain bikes after a long weather-imposed hiatus! (That is, if the forecasted rain doesn't materialize...) We'll head out to see our old friend Annadel, but Shannon will lead us from the Lawndale trailhead this time 'round.

Meet on Saturday, February 6th at 9:30am at the bottom of Lawndale. The know-how to go now: beginner-friendly, everyone welcome, and no one left behind. (Rain cancels.) RSVPs appreciated!

Directions: The Lawndale trailhead is located just northwest of Kenwood on Hwy 12. From Santa Rosa continue on Hwy 12 for 6.6 miles past the Montgomery Drive turn-off. Go right on Lawndale Road and follow it 1.2 miles to the trailhead parking area. If you make it to Kenwood, you went too far!
