HillJillys Road Ride:
Saturday, December 20th, 9:30am

A little Jack Frost nipping at our nose (and toes) ain't gonna stop us. Bust out the skinny tires, and toe covers, for a road cruise on Saturday, led by Deanna. A little bit of climbing, and a stop at Wildflour in Freestone, sounds like a perfect winter ride. C'mon out!

Meet at Youth Community Park in Santa Rosa on Saturday, 9:30am. As always, beginners welcome and no one left behind. Rain cancels!

HillJillys MTB Ride:
Saturday, December 13th, 9:30am

Seems like the schedule is getting busier and busier, right? Typical for the holidays, and all the more reason to carve out some time for two-wheeled de-stressing. We're feeling the call. Dirt. Annadel. Saturday. Come one, come all.

Meet at Channel Drive in Annadel (at the bottom of Cobblestone) at 9:30am this Saturday; led by me. Beginners welcome, and no one gets left behind! --kimdow

WEATHER UPDATE:
Just checked out the forecast, and here's the scoop:

HillJillys MTB Ride:
Saturday, November 29th, 9am

We're girding up for some serious eating tomorrow, and dreaming of bacon candy and mushroom stuffing. Yum. Friday hikes and turkey sandwiches, but the mountain bike is laying claim to Saturday morning...

Lindsay is stepping up to lead this post-feast ride, back from some quality trail time in Tahoe and Santa Cruz. Come on out for a bit of fat tire fun.

Meet at Channel Drive in Annadel (at the bottom of Cobblestone) at 9am this Saturday. Beginners welcome, and no one gets left behind!

HillJillys Road Ride:
Saturday, November 22nd, 9:30am

Yup, the trails up at Boggs last weekend were perfect, but now it's time to get back on the pavement at home. Fellow HillJilly Deanna is leading this one, taking off out of Youth Community Park on Fulton Road.

Meet at 9:30am Saturday morning. It'll be a nice, flexible ride & decide, and she's got two great route options ready to go, with choices to make at various rest stops. Beginners welcome and friendly pace, as always, but prolly 'bout 30-40 miles--so keep that in mind if you haven't gotten your heart rate up in a while.

Get out on your bike and enjoy this amazing weather while it lasts! And nothing like a good long ride to justify an extra serving of pie on Thanksgiving... --kimdow

HillJillys MTB Ride:
Saturday, November 15th, 11am--Boggs!

Oh my goodness, the recent wet weather means the trails up at Boggs Mountain are going to be fantastic. Feels like as good a time as any for a lil' HillJillys field trip--Lake County, here we come.

Meet at the first parking lot in the Boggs Demonstration State Forest at 11am on Saturday. If you've never been to Boggs, or have been meaning to go back, now's a great time to go ride these sweet trails with a fun-lovin', no-droppin', heart-helpin' group of girls.

Also: one of my very best and oldest friends owns the coffee shop in Cobb, and we can be assured of ready availability of yummy post-ride treats. You know how I like to plan rides around cafes... --kimdow

HillJillys Road Ride:
Saturday, November 8th, 1pm

What to do, what to do? It's supposed to shower again on Saturday, but I've decided that we won't melt. We'll push it out to early afternoon in the hopes that the weather will have passed--but pull out your rain jacket and pack some dry clothes for afterward, just in case. If it does sprinkle on us, it'll be good character-building for the long winter ahead...

Meet at the Flying Goat in Healdsburg at 1pm. If it is raining, we'll just do a short spin, and (as always) beginners welcome!

HillJillys Road Ride:
Saturday, September 13th, 10am

Meet at the Willow Wood in Graton at 10am (9020 Graton Road). We're gonna do a lil' climbing.

This won't be a ride that's long in distance, but we'll be heading uphill a bit--so this one is more of an intermediate excursion. Still friendly, still not competitive, and still all about having fun. If you're not afraid of a bit of climbing, come on out. We'll have good times. --kimdow

HillJillys are on Facebook

We looooove the good times and camaraderie that are part and parcel of HillJillys rides, but just as important to us is connecting HillJillys with each other, you know? We want you to find fellow HillJillys to ride with one-on-one or in smaller groups, and make the most of everyone's very busy schedules. To that end, we've done the deed: find us on Facebook, find each other, and connect away.

HillJillys Hiatus

Darn it, despite my best hopes to get in one lil' after-work HillJillys road ride before I hit the open road myself, I've plum run out of time. I'm headed out for a lil' summer road trip--one that will include plenty of singletrack time on the mountains of Flagstaff and the red rocks of Utah.

When I get back, there are some great things in store for the HillJillys. Cambria has a new hire, Lindsay, who will be bumping up the women's program there and helping out with HillJillys rides and clinics. Looking forward to introducing her to y'all.

Note: if you've been to a HillJillys event (ride or clinic) and haven't yet received your Cambria discount card, be sure to email me your mailing address and I'll get one out to you when I return.

More in late August--keep having fun on your bike while I'm gone! --kimdow

Meet at Channel Drive in Annadel at 9am. Ride leaves at 9:15.

These rides have been so much fun--if you haven't made it out to one yet, you're missing good times. This here HillJilly is about to head out to the red rocks of Utah for a couple weeks of mountain biking, and stoked to squeeze in at least one more club ride before I head out...

Keep your fingers crossed, and maybe we'll get a road ride in after work next week, too!
